Dr. K. Saraswathi,
MBBS, MD, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. K. Saraswathi leads the Obstetrics and Gynecology unit at RK Hospital for Women and Children. She completed her MBBS from Thanjavur Medical College and pursued her Master’s in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, graduating in 1992.
With over 30 years of experience in various aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Saraswathi was instrumental in establishing Thanjavur’s first fertility unit in 2008. She also runs a dedicated women’s physiotherapy service and a lactation support unit at the hospital, ensuring comprehensive care for mothers and newborns.
An enthusiastic educator, she served as faculty at Thanjavur Medical College for over 13 years, shaping the next generation of medical professionals. Passionate about community health, she has conducted over 100 health camps for underprivileged women and delivered numerous awareness lectures on women’s health at girls’ schools and women’s colleges.
